The guild was filled with killing intent, on the verge of a confrontation.

But there were only two of them against a dozen adventurers. Sensing their disadvantage, Toppo immediately changed his tone.

Toppo: "It's unforgivable to keep a noble waiting, but it's alright. I'm kind, so I'll forgive you."

The knight took his hand off the hilt of his sword.

The adventurers' killing intent dissipated.

At that moment, the guild door opened.

Sophie and the others had returned.

Sophie: "What's going on? Did something happen?"

Ryu, after his pointless trip to the slums...

He usually preferred to walk, but he was impatient to walk back from the slums, so he decided to teleport.

A magic circle appeared on the street in front of the guard's post near the city gate, and Ryu and the others emerged.

At that moment, a guild employee who had come to look for Ryu spotted him and called out.

It turned out that a noble was causing trouble at the guild because they were looking for Ryu.

Ryu had planned to meet with Golant at the guard's post, but hearing about this problem related to him, he decided to return to the Adventurers' Guild first.

He teleported in front of the guild and was about to enter when Sophie slipped in ahead of him. She probably thought this was her chance, having heard about the noble.

As they entered, they saw a man in fine clothes and a knight standing in front of the reception desk, surrounded by a ring of adventurers.

"It seems this noble wants to execute Layla for disrespect... Ryu, you're back."

Toppo turned around at the sound of his name.

Ryu: "Huh? Who are you?"

Knight: "You insolent creature, answer the question!"

Ryu: "If you want to ask someone's name, you should introduce yourself first."

Knight: "Don't be so cocky, you mere commoner adventurer. We'll tell you our name if we need to, it's up to us nobles to decide."

Toppo: "Stop it. We're just here to pick up Ryujiin. We need to know your name to proceed."

But before Toppo could introduce himself, Layla answered.

Layla: "He's Baron Toppo. He's the steward of the Gitt Viscount family."

But for some reason, Toppo ignored Layla's words and introduced himself again.

Toppo: "I'm Toppo. I'm a baron, serving as the steward of the Gitt Viscount family."

Did he say it twice because it was important?

Ryu had thought since the first time he saw him that he looked like a steward, and apparently he was. He thought to himself, "I guess stewards have a certain look, even if they're in a different world."

Ryu: "I'm Ryujiin, but what do you want?"

Toppo: "You're the one who delivered the dragon materials, right?"

Ryu: "I haven't been doing that much lately."

Toppo: "The Gitt Viscount wants to hire you exclusively. Come with me. We'll give you a proper education on manners as well."

Ryu: "Huh? What's this all of a sudden? I decline your scout offer."

Toppo: "What are you saying? You're being offered employment by the Gitt Viscount. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! He's just a viscount, but the Gitt family has ties to the Duke's family. You can't refuse."

Sophie: "The Gitt Viscount? You mean that Gitt?"

Toppo: "What's with you, little girl? You're being disrespectful."
