The day Prince Harris barged into the Adventurers' Guild...
Upon returning to the welcoming villa of the Lord of Mimul, Sophie's lodging, she unleashed her anger on Harris. Sophie wanted to avoid showing Ryu and the others that there were royals with discriminatory views towards commoners.
Sophie was used to her father and elder brother being fussy about everything, and she understood that they were just looking out for her.
But in this case, where there were many other people present, Harris' blatantly discriminatory behavior, and the fact that he so easily ordered the execution of a commoner, made Sophie furious.
Her father and brother were usually lenient with Sophie, always giving in to her whims. But even they were overwhelmed by Sophie's outburst and promised to observe her for a while.

The next day, Sophie went shopping in town, and as promised, Harris stayed put.
He had wanted to spend time with Sophie, since she had finally left the palace, and he would have preferred to have maids take care of shopping, but he had no choice.
Harris stayed in the villa, listening to every report from the spies he had assigned to Sophie. But there was no major incident in the safe town, and Sophie returned safely.
However, the day after that, Sophie and the others left the villa before dawn and headed to the dungeon. They even stayed overnight in the dungeon, so Sophie didn't return that day.
Harris, assuming something had happened because Sophie didn't come back from the dungeon (he didn't know it was normal to stay for several days when exploring a dungeon), began to panic.
The prince, unable to stay put, rushed to the dungeon with his knights.
Harris rode his horse towards the dungeon with his knights. He planned to enter the dungeon with them and rescue Sophie, but when Harris arrived, he happened to catch Sophie and the others emerging from the dungeon via teleportation.
(Scene Change)
Harris: "Sophie! You actually went into the dungeon? Did something dangerous happen?"
Sophie: "It's fine, it was a little dangerous at the end, but Ryu saved me. It was fun!"
Harris (glaring at Ryu): "You, you nearly put Sophie in danger. You're unfit to be a guard. I'm going to execute you. Go on, capture him and behead him!"
The knights drew their swords at Harris' command.
Sophie: "Brother! Stop it!! I've told you countless times, don't talk about easily executing people! Ryu didn't do anything wrong, he saved me when I was in danger!"
Harris (To himself: Ugh, I wanted to be the one to save Sophie heroically... How dare a commoner save Sophie, receive her gratitude, and be protected by her... It's intolerable! I should have gotten rid of him sooner...)
Harris: " ...Speaking of which, why are you still alive?!"
Sophie: "Of course I'm alive! What are you saying, brother?"
Harris: "What happened to Aiga and the others... Did you kill them?!"
Sophie: "What are you talking about?"
Ryu: "Yes, the knights you ordered to kill me came after me. I fought back and won."
Harris assumed that Aiga and the others immediately attacked Ryu again since it was the prince's order. If they had succeeded, Ryu would be dead. If they had failed, it was natural that Ryu would be alive... But he only just now noticed that Aiga and the others were missing from the knights.
(Scene Change)
In reality, Aiga, Teolga, and Mashu had gotten drunk in the tavern next to the guild, utterly demoralized by their hopeless situation.
They had no motivation to act proactively since the prince's order had no deadline. They planned to follow Ryu again when he returned to the guild the next morning, but Ryu and the others bypassed the guild and went straight to the dungeon, leaving them waiting in vain.
Since they couldn't return to the prince without killing Ryu, Aiga and the others were still waiting in the town for Ryu to come back.
(Scene Change)
Sophie: "What?! You tried to have Ryu killed?! I told you to leave him alone!"
Harris: "No, that's... that's a misunderstanding! The knights must have misheard my instructions. They must have been mistaken!"
Harris desperately tried to cover it up.
Ryu knew that it was the prince's order by reading the knights' minds. But when told it was a misunderstanding, it became difficult for him to be specific.
Because Ryu could only understand their thoughts. He knew they "thought" they had been ordered by the prince to kill him.
Reading minds only allowed him to understand their subjective thoughts, not the objective truth of what happened.
Therefore, the possibility of a misunderstanding, while a flimsy excuse, was technically valid.
Harris: "Alright, that's enough!"
Harris waved his hand at the knights, and they sheathed their swords.
Harris: "Now, Sophie, you've been to the dungeon. That's enough. Let's return to the palace."
Sophie: "No, I won't. I won't return until I've fully enjoyed my time as an adventurer."
Harris: "What are you saying? You don't need to become an adventurer, just stay at the palace and practice your duties as a bride-to-be. Eventually, you'll find a suitable man to marry. It's for the sake of the country and your duty as royalty."
Sophie: "Don't worry, Father said he has no intention of marrying me off. I'll eventually find a husband."
Harris: "What?! Our father said that? No, I understand how he feels. I would be heartbroken if Sophie were to get married too. ..."
Sophie: "But I won't marry just anyone. I won't get married unless I find a man who meets my standards. ...Perhaps Ryu would be a suitable candidate?"
Harris: "What are you saying?! This man is a commoner! There's no way a princess would marry a commoner!"
Sophie: "If he's granted nobility, there wouldn't be a problem. After all, Ryu can use teleportation magic. Don't you think this would be an incredible asset to the country?"
Harris: "Teleportation?! That's a magical ability from fairytales! Even the Royal Academy of Magic has been studying it for ages, but they haven't achieved any satisfactory results."
Ryu: "Hey, hey, I told you that's a secret..."
Sophie: "Now that you've used it in front of everyone, there's no point in hiding it anymore."
They were right. Ryu had used teleportation to emerge from the dungeon in front of Harris and the others...
