My sister, Nene, suddenly entered my room.
Hey, what about the lock? I always lock it, but Nene just came in. I must have forgotten to lock it today.
"Who are you?"
She stood there, looking dumbfounded.
"A thief...?"
Well, that's what would happen! My appearance has changed into that of a woman due to the influence of summoning Crocelle.
So, if a stranger saw me, they would think I'm a thief!
Oh no, what should I do?!
I can't possibly tell her that this happened because of the summoning ritual!
If I do, she might find out about the summoning of demons!
But what should I do? What kind of excuse should I come up with?!
"O-Hey! Crocelle! What do you think we should do in this situation!"
I gave up trying to think for myself and asked Crocelle for help.
"E-Eh, s-suddenly asking me?! Uh, um, a-ah, I have an idea!"
"What? Tell me quickly!"
Nene is staring at me with a very suspicious look.
I can't buy any more time to think.
"S-So, you know...what about saying that you are Lord Norman's girlfriend? Kyaa, I said it!"
Crocelle said this, blushing for some reason.
But it's not a bad idea!
"W-Well, you see, I am actually Norman's girlfriend..."
I wonder, will it work?
"Eh?! You're my brother's girlfriend?!"
Nene's eyes sparkled as she came closer to me.
I-It seems I managed to pull it off.
"So, what's your name? Where did you meet my brother? What do you like about my brother? Do you go on dates with my brother?"
Nene is really getting into it.
"Uh, well, could you please ask one question at a time...?"
"Ah, sorry. I got a little excited."
Encountering her brother's girlfriend, is that something that should be exciting?
"Anyway, where did my brother go? He wouldn't leave you, such a cute girlfriend, behind..."
"Ah haha...he said he had something to do and went out."
"Is that so. Still, he should have told me that he has a girlfriend."
Nene says this in a sulky tone.
"You have a good relationship with your sister, don't you?"
Crocelle chimes in.
"I don't really recall having a good relationship with my sister."
"Oh, is that so?"
In reality, Nene always complains about something whenever we meet. But, recently, I haven't felt like it's completely impossible that she might be getting nicer.
"Ah, I haven't introduced myself yet. My name is Nene Esland. I am one year younger than my brother."
Nene, you are sitting down in my room.
You're planning to stay for good.
"Um, my name is..."
"What should we do, a name?"
"Wouldn't Crocelle work?"
"C-Crocelle."
"So, your name is Crocelle. So, how did you meet my brother?"
"Uh, well..."
"What should we do, how do we answer that?"
"We had a fated encounter."
"We had a fated encounter."
"Wow, romantic! What do you like about my brother?"
"Y-He's kind!"
"He's kind..."
"So, my brother has that side to him too."
It's basically me praising myself, isn't it?
Ugh, I'm doing something embarrassing.
"So, do you go on dates often?"
"We haven't gone on a date yet."
Crocelle says this in my head, so I repeat it like a parrot:
"We haven't gone on a date yet."
"Eeeh! Really? My brother, you're so mean!"
"No, um, we just started dating..."
I quickly tried to correct it because my image is going down the drain.
"Is that so?! So, that's when things are at their hottest!"
For some reason, Nene gets really excited.
"Kyaa! It's the hottest time, right!"
"Why are you so happy, Crocelle?"
I have a feeling that Nene's story will never end if this continues.
I have to get out of this somehow.
"Um, I suddenly remembered that I have something to do..."
"Eh, really? You don't want to wait for my brother to come back?"
"U-Um, well, I have a date with Norman..."
"Ah, sorry! I'm being a nuisance, aren't I? I'll go now. Let's talk again, Crocelle."
It seems Nene sensed something and hastily left the house.
Well, there's no reason for her to sense anything.
"She's a really nice sister, isn't she!"
Crocelle is in a good mood for some reason.
"Well, I guess she's not bad."
But, more importantly, I need to think about how to get back to normal.
"Why did this even happen in the first place?"
"Well...I understand that it happened because you summoned me, Lord Norman. But, it didn't happen like this when you summoned Aim, did it?"
Speaking of which, I wonder what happened to the sigil on my left hand. I decide to take a look.
There was still Aim's sigil on the back of my left hand.
There was a sigil I'd never seen on the back of my right hand.
"Is this Crocelle's sigil?"
"Y-Yes! Certainly, the pattern of angel wings within this circle is my sigil."
A sigil appeared when I summoned Crocelle, just like it did when I summoned Aim.
If that's the case, what's the cause?
I think about it and suddenly remember a few things.
Aim had said this before:
"Don't try to absorb everything about me. You'll take over my self too. One-tenth, no, one-hundredth of my spirit is enough."
Nene said something similar:
"Summoning rituals are difficult to control. If you absorb all of a spirit, there is a possibility that you will be taken over by their body. But, if you only absorb a little, the effect is weak."
So, that means this happened because I absorbed all of Crocelle.
Summoning rituals are deep.
If I had fainted while fighting against the out-of-control magic that was making me spit blood, my body would have been taken over by Crocelle.
I'm not sure why my appearance changed like this.
After all, I summoned a demon.
It's not unusual for something to happen that wouldn't happen with normal summoning rituals.
Anyway, now that I know it's just that I miscalculated the amount, I should be able to return to normal if I exorcise the spirit that has possessed me according to the instructions in the magical book.
So, following the instructions in the magical book, I performed the ritual to exorcise the possessing spirit.
However, it wasn't that easy, and I failed many times, but after several hours, I finally returned to my original form.
The path to learning water magic is still a long one.
