Koai was perplexed.
In a private room at the inn she'd stopped at, she mulled things over alone.

For some reason, it seemed she had bled a little in her sleep.

Could it be that she had been attacked by someone, or was she currently being attacked without realizing it?
However, it was hard to believe she had been sleeping so soundly that she wouldn't have noticed someone entering the room.
The only time she'd slept that deeply... was when she rested in a room with her (Snow)... or so it should be.

Then... could it be that she was being attacked from a distant location, and was simply unaware of it?
But here, she couldn't sense any movement of magical power... in fact, she couldn't feel any magical power other than her own nearby.
If someone possessed the skill to cast a spell from her blind spot without her sensing it—that is, to affect her with magic without her knowledge and produce some effect... would a wielder of such skill really need to hide and sneak around?
Furthermore, would someone with such skill have any reason to target her now?

Besides, if she were under some kind of attack... it should be a little more, well...

Mulling it over, Koai stood up alone and took off her robe. She visually inspected her body all over, confirming there were no wounds, before... sitting down on the bed.

Turning her consciousness inward, she felt a little sluggish... a vague sense of listlessness. She had been feeling it since morning... since she'd entered this room.
Now, in addition to that, there was a dull, heavy feeling around her lower back... that kind of sensation.

But that was all.
If she focused on moving, it wasn't particularly noticeable... it was only to that extent.
Assuming this was the result of someone's magic... was there any meaning in inflicting an effect of this degree?
A supplementary attack... if it was support for someone else to attack her, this level of effect would be no problem.

And if it was someone who needed this level of support, or someone who could only provide this level of support... they would be no problem.
