Koai called out to Snow, who was still on her knees.

I wasn't sure what to do, but for now, I moved closer to her. A faint, sour smell reached me.

But this, too, was a part of her.

"Well now, you lot should probably leave before dawn."

"Why's that?"

"If the villagers (elves) around here find you now, we can't make it look like you died here, can we?"

A short distance away, the men were talking amongst themselves.

"But, won't the lord find out later?"
