"Good morning, Your Majesty..."

A hoarse voice woke me. I was awake, but I had no energy to move my body.

I don't want to leave this warm bed.
I don't want to leave the warmth that she... that Snow left behind.

"Your Majesty, Your Majesty, if you would be so ki—"
A hoarse voice, two knocks on the door, and then... on the third, a satisfying little sound, as if something had come loose.

"So this part has gotten brittle too..."

"Your Majesty... I know you must be tired, and I apologize for the intrusion, but I would like to report and consult with you soon."
This hoarse voice belonged to the old man, Sodi. Since I was awake, I supposed I should listen to what he had to say.
...And yet, I didn't want to move. I didn't want to move my body from this spot.

"If you don't mind me lying down, I'll listen."
"...If it is acceptable to Your Majesty, then I do not mind..."
"Then you may enter."
It was lazy of me, I know... but I allowed Sodi to enter the room while I remained lying in bed, curled up.

"Then, if you'll excuse me..."

To be honest, some of what he said didn't register... but I listened to several things from Sodi.

He said that his grandson who started the rebellion, Lyuca... Lyucia, had been sentenced to banishment, exiled from the Great Forest for the next one hundred years.
The reasoning was that since I, the king, had not tried to kill him, the death penalty was not an option... So, they imposed the next most severe punishment for the Green Demon Tribe (Elves) after death: banishment from the Great Forest, and for the longest term of one hundred years... This, he said, was to make an example for the various villages.
Having done that, he apparently plans to use his connections with a human merchant based in the Tablis territory, near the Great Forest, to have him recuperate in the city until his wounds heal.
