"Your Majesty, the preparations are complete. Let us depart."

The day after receiving the Grand Duke's reply, a voice called out to Koai, who was resting in her bedchamber.

Of course, Koai hadn't been able to... rest much in her bedchamber. Standing before the portrait of her hanging on the wall, she had been receiving her gaze continuously... her heart in turmoil.
However, it was by no means painful. It was a pleasant sort of bewilderment.

"Understood. Wait a moment."
Koai replied, her eyes opening wide as she sat up and stretched her back.

"I shall be waiting for you at the entrance."
Hearing the old man Sodi's hoarse reply, Koai's consciousness was still focused on her.

The world she desires. A world where the Green Demons (Elves) are independent, a world where they are not tormented by humans.
The world she desires. The world I must obtain here.

Koai kept her back straight, closed her eyes for a moment, and reflected on her purpose (reason for living).
As she did, something warm settled deep in her chest. Feeling as if she were taking that warmth with her, Koai left the bedchamber and headed for the entrance.

"Akudo has the carriage ready and is waiting. Let us go."
The old man's attire, as he waited for Koai, looked a little more ornate than usual.
The collar and placket were decorated, and the sash was a vibrant color, giving a brilliant impression. The shoulders seemed to be molded, jutting out to the sides, and apart from the lack of pauldrons, the style was similar to the robe Koai wore. On his head, he wore a brimless hat with a protrusion at the crown.

"Ah, these clothes? They are the ceremonial robes our clan has used for rituals and ceremonies for generations. I wanted to wear them when I had my audience with Your Majesty at the castle, but I didn't have enough time to prepare back then."
Perhaps thinking she was looking at him with curiosity, Sodi began to explain his attire.

"At that time, it was an urgent matter, so I wore plain clothes... but normally, I would want to make the proper preparations."
Sodi spoke with a joyful laugh. Perhaps it also contained his expectations and hopes for the near future...
