At the main gate of the government office where the two arrived, several lightly armored humans holding rod-like weapons were loitering.

"Is this the government office of this castle city?"
Coai stepped in front of Snow, taking a stance as if to shield her from the men at the gate, and tried speaking to them.

Were they checking to see if Coai and her companion were unarmed?

"I was told to take this letter and meet with the magistrate."
However, from Coai's perspective, it didn't matter what kind of weapons these ordinary humans, from whom she couldn't sense any magic even up close, were carrying. There was nothing worth noting. The only thing she needed to be concerned about was the risk of them trying to harm Snow.

"I am Alexei, a security guard here... And you are?"
