My apologies for the long delay. I am truly sorry.
Perhaps as a reaction to her long journey... Coai felt it was a chore to even leave her bedroom for several days, and spent most of her time on her bed.
On the bed, Coai wasn't exactly sleeping soundly...
Tossing and turning, grabbing the top sheet and pulling it close, clinging to her pillow, pulling the sheet over her head...
After spending her time in such a lazy manner, at one point, Coai sat up. Opening her eyes as she did, she turned her face in one direction without hesitation. In that direction was a wall where a portrait hung...
Coai stared intently only at the portrait capturing Snow's smile in the center of her vision.
She gazed at it, burning the image into her mind once more... then lay back down on the bed and pulled the sheet over herself.
Here and now, she couldn't feel her.
Even though this was the bed they had shared so many times.
Her touch, her scent, her warmth—nothing remained.
