The mounted horse approached the bridge planks from the land, one step, then another... and finally, its forelegs stepped onto the bridge.
A light creaking sound reached Coai and the others on the horse, or so they thought... but the sound of the crosswind immediately blew it away.
As the horse continued its pace, its hind legs also stepped onto the bridge planks. This time, a creaking sound came not just from the planks but also from the surrounding vines... but that too was drowned out by another gust of crosswind.

"The wind's strong, it's a little cold..."
"Are you cold? Shall we cross quickly then?"
Coai worried about Snow, who was shivering slightly in front of her. For some reason, Snow was looking down.

"Ah, i-it's not that bad, and besides, it seems dangerous to rush, so let's just go at a normal pace."
She replied, looking a little flustered, that it was no problem. The reason... Coai couldn't quite understand it.

"I see. In that case, let's enjoy the scenery."
"Ah, right. They say it's better to look forward than down, anyway."

The two of them kept looking forward, guiding the horse straight ahead at a leisurely pace... Around the middle of the bridge, the sunlight caught their eyes.
The setting sun, which had been hidden by the clouds, had apparently emerged and was now shining on them.

"So bright... oh... wow..."
Snow raised her voice while shielding her eyes with one hand... or so it seemed, but she quickly fell silent.

"This is nice. You can see the town spreading out between the mountains."

Looking to their left, they could see the river spreading out below, and around it, the signs of human activity: a developed town, roads, and what looked like farmland.
On the other hand, to their right, even as they followed the river's flow from below with their eyes, an untouched wilderness stretched out before them.

"Ah, so this side is just pure, raw nature, huh?"
It seemed Snow had also looked to both sides to confirm the different landscapes.
