When she came to, she could see the faint light of dawn filtering through the window.
It was just as dawn was breaking.
Coai somehow got out of bed and picked up the dagger she had left on the desk. Then, she slowly drew the dagger from its sheath and stared at the blade's edge.
A weapon of the humans... who seem to strongly believe in some god or another.
She had no interest in the thing itself.
It held no powerful magic on its own, nor any trace of an enchantment.
Whether a poison used by humans would work on her, she didn't actually know... but this blade itself could not touch her, could not harm her.
However, if it was a poison used by humans, it would surely work on humans.
Coai was not worried for herself. The one she was worried for was, of course, her... Snow.
Coai returned the dagger to its sheath and placed it on the desk... Just then, she remembered that she had left the map of the Emile territory and its surroundings lying on the floor.
Coai, relying on the dim light, picked up the map and sat on the bed.
Checking the map, she saw that the name of the town she had heard about in the tavern was indeed written there.
From her current location, Delsu, there was a city called Argun to the northwest, and one called Doit to the southwest.
And that Argun, to the northwest, was the central city of the Emile territory, and it would be best to make it her immediate goal...
In truth, Coai hadn't looked at this part of the map yet.
Sodi's recommendation when she provided the map, and the location of the delicacy she'd heard about in the tavern... if those overlapped in the same city, it would be an ideal destination.
