I held her tight the whole time, feeling her warmth on horseback.
The sound of the galloping hooves, the noise of the wind rushing past—none of it reached my ears.
The only thing that remained in my ears was the rapid beating of her heart against my chest.
Even so, a warmth lingered deep within my chest.
The horse was galloping at a breakneck pace, a furious dash that could only be described as a rampage... I just pointed it west and otherwise let the horse go as it pleased.
Leaving the running almost entirely to the horse, Coai focused on something more important... holding Snow's body securely so she wouldn't fall.
To make sure she never fell... no, perhaps the real reason... was that I just wanted to be close to her, and that's why I was supporting her body.
But, that was fine by me.
As long as she was really by my side, that was all that mattered.
As long as she was in no danger and had no worries, that was enough.
As I put strength into my arms, my thighs, my whole body that enveloped her... heat built up.
