The castle town of Auvers.
A small to medium-sized town located slightly east of the Rulumiuz River, which separates the Tablis territory from the Angel region... in other words, at the western edge of the Tablis territory.
Although they spotted what looked like the castle town ahead, there was no sign of a river that could be the border anywhere nearby.
The land to their right was elevated, so it seemed natural that they couldn't see the river on that side... but as far as the eye could see, there was no river, not even a body of water that might lead to one.
Having just mistaken another town for one near the border, Coi felt a little anxious.
"This is probably Auvers... I think."
Perhaps due to his anxiety, he had muttered it aloud without thinking.
"Oh, what's wrong? You think this might be the wrong town?"
As Snow turned around, the back of her hair brushed against the tip of Coi's nose.
Her profile, with her head tilted, soothed Coi's anxiety.
"Well, it's fine even if it's the wrong one."
"It is... is it?"
"For now, let's just eat there. If it's not our destination, we can just go look for that town again."
Her gently smiling profile calmed Coi's heart.
How carefree she was.
But perhaps, that was just fine.
As long as she was enjoying herself, that was all that mattered.
"Heh heh."
Perhaps out of relief, he couldn't help but chuckle.
