Synopsis of the previous chapter
Near the fortress city of Tafkau, Coai engaged in a fierce battle against the 'Servants of God'... those called Heroes, and the past 'Demon Lord' who had incarnated using one of them as a vessel... and emerged victorious.
To recover from her exhaustion, Coai entered the city of Tafkau, which the humans were beginning to flee. There, she rested, eating whatever abandoned food she could find.
And once recovered, Coai, unable to hold back any longer, summoned her... Snow.

Ordinarily.
Although she had driven off any real enemies, summoning her in a place like this... where humans had gathered until just a moment ago, might have been rash.

However, the feelings and desires she had become aware of at the end of the conflict... moved Coai with an irresistible impulse.
Having just fought and defeated an "enemy," and sated her body's hunger and thirst... Coai could not resist.

As the light of the faintly crimson summoning circle (pentagram) fades, Coai stands alone in the dim warehouse.

Coai stands alone in the darkness, simply standing still with her gaze lowered.
Driven by a powerful emotion, she had unintentionally summoned her... and Coai just watches.

She is lying where the summoning circle was, probably sleeping as she always does.
Had she been drinking good sake? Coai just watches her as she sleeps, looking happy.

Coai remains standing, rooted to the spot, unable to even move forward and take hold of her limbs.
Wanting to see her, to be with her, to touch her, she had summoned her without thinking... and Coai just watched.

She had summoned her, wanting to be with her, to touch her, to be held by her, yet just looking at her was warm.
Just looking was so warm... that gazing at her became the only thing that mattered, and all other movements were neglected.

Deciding that this wouldn't do, she tried to approach, but for some reason... she could only close the distance little by little.

Still, Coai somehow managed to reach her side and sat down.
All that time, she hadn't even turned over in her sleep; she just kept sleeping.
