Summary of the last chapter
After finishing their battle with the 'Servants of God' and treating the Grand Duke's wounds, Coai and her group spent the night in a village near the country's border.
Having repelled the intruders who appeared in the village, Coai's group greeted the morning and decided to summon the Grand Duke's trusted subordinates to hear about the situation with the 'Servants of God' and the humans, in order to plan their next move.
Two men were led into the living room by the village chief. Upon entering the room and recognizing the Grand Duke, they knelt and lowered their heads.
"You've done well. You must be tired, please make yourselves comfortable."
The Grand Duke spoke, turning his body towards the two men.
"We are grateful for your kind words."
The two replied, but did not change their posture.
"Well, no matter. Shall we get straight to the point?"
Coai watched in silence as the Grand Duke broached the subject with a wry smile.
"Is it alright to speak here? Very well, then..."
The two men raised their faces, looked around at everyone in the living room, and began to speak of the situation.
According to the two men, the humans had generally received the 'Prophecy of God' and the 'Servants of God' favorably, and they had already gained a certain level of trust.
"Especially within the territory, the subjugation of bandits and mountain thieves in which Lord Hisashi previously played an active role... that seems to have become quite well-known."
"I only know of the situation in the royal capital through hearsay, but... it's said that several priests of Millialia have received a prophecy with similar content to Lady Araia's and are preaching it."
"Initially, it seems there were those who suspected they had coordinated their stories, but when priests from other regions came forward saying they had heard similar prophecies at almost the same time, such voices diminished."
"Millialia... is there any movement from the temple?"
The Grand Duke furrowed his brow deeply.
"We don't have the full details yet... but we've received reports from our spies that there is a movement to officially recognize the prophecy as a divine oracle."
"Some have even appeared, claiming that those who were able to hear the prophecy are the ones who should be treated as high priests."
