...It seems I was dreaming.

It was hazy, but it felt like someone was holding me.

It was so comfortable, so peaceful... as if I were asleep even within the dream.

Koai woke up, still using Snow's arm as a pillow.
She realized that her companion's hand was resting on her head... her hand and arm were positioned as if to cradle Koai's head.
The hand resting there was warm, but feeling a little embarrassed, Koai placed her own hand on top of it.

She didn't wake up.

She pulled her hand away for a moment, turned over, and glanced toward the window. The angle of the faint moonlight streaming in was different from before she had fallen asleep.
That indicated she had been fast asleep for several hours... for quite some time.

She shifted her body on the arm, but still, the other girl didn't wake.

If she wasn't going to wake up, then there was no reason for me to be awake either...
Koai decided to go back to sleep.

Suddenly, her companion's arm lifted, raising Koai's head. The next moment, her head had been dropped from the arm.
Perhaps because of that light jolt, Koai was now wide awake.
Beside her, it seemed the other girl had woken up as well.

The moon was gone from the night sky. The night had grown late, but it seemed there was still some time before sunrise.
Koai lit a few of the candles set on the room's wall.
