Chapter 12: Daddy is Shy

"Alright, enough arguing," Huo Zhenchuan declared, making the final decision as the head of the family. "Why don't Third Son just take Luoluo home to live? Wouldn't that make everyone happy?"

"That's for the best!" Qin Shu said, delighted. This way, she could see her little darling every day.

"Dad, Mom," Huo Tingyan began, his brow furrowed slightly. "I'm already used to living alone. If you're really worried, you can always come to my place to visit the little one." He had moved out of the family home a long time ago and had grown accustomed to living alone. He wasn't particularly keen on moving back.

"I'm not asking for your opinion; I'm informing you," Huo Zhenchuan said, his tone firm, brooking no argument.

"Heh, don't flatter yourself," Qin Shu said, rolling her eyes in annoyance, her face clearly showing disdain. "If it weren't for Luoluo, do you think you'd even be allowed through the front door?"

Huo Tingyan: "..." So, he had to thank the little girl for this?

Third Master Huo, who commanded storms and acted decisively in the business world, had absolutely no say at home. Madam Qin had always been unyielding at home; even Huo Zhenchuan didn't dare defy her orders. Even if Huo Tingyan had more objections, he could only swallow them. Because his parents had already put their foot down: if he didn't bring Luoluo home, he shouldn't even think about stepping foot inside their house ever again.

In short, he could forget about monopolizing Luoluo; Luoluo belonged to everyone!

However, in the end, Su Luo didn't go home with Grandpa and Grandma. Because Huo Tingyan had a lot of documents and materials to move, he could only arrange for movers to come tomorrow. So for tonight, the little girl would stay at his place for one night.

"Goodbye, Grandma, Luoluo will miss you," the little one said as they parted, raising her tiny hand and waving, a wide smile blooming on her face, looking both obedient and soft. As long as she could be with Daddy, it didn't matter where she stayed.

"Baby, remember to call Grandma when you get home. Grandma will pick you up again tomorrow," Qin Shu said. In comparison, she was much more reluctant to part, clutching the little girl's soft body, almost unwilling to let go.

"Okay, I'll miss Grandma," the little girl said very obediently.

This made Qin Shu feel another pang of reluctance. Clutching her, she didn't want to let go, wishing she could just "kidnap" her well-behaved and adorable granddaughter home right then.

Huo Tingyan watched speechlessly as the old and young reluctantly bid farewell. They were only parting for one night, yet they were acting as if they'd never see each other again. If they dawdled any longer, it would be dark soon.

Huo Tingyan couldn't take it anymore. He bent down and picked up the little girl, then turned and walked away without looking back. "Let's go," he said.

"Goodbye, Grandpa and Grandma," the little girl said, nestled on his shoulder, reluctantly waving goodbye.

It wasn't until they had walked quite a distance and could no longer see Grandpa and Grandma that Su Luo withdrew her gaze, turning her head to look at the man's handsome profile. "Daddy, where are we going?" she asked.

"Home," Huo Tingyan said calmly. Holding the little girl with one arm seemed effortless for him. The man thought to himself, the little girl was really too thin, looking quite malnourished. It seemed he would have to nourish her well.

Just as he was thinking, the little girl's silly giggle suddenly sounded in his ear. "Hehe."

Huo Tingyan couldn't help but glance sideways, giving her a fleeting look. "What are you giggling about? Just like a little fool."

"Luoluo is so happy!" the little one said, nuzzling his cheek endearingly, her voice as sweet as honey. "Now I have a home too!"

"Luoluo loves Daddy the most!"

Huo Tingyan's footsteps paused almost imperceptibly for a moment, then he resumed walking as if nothing had happened.

"Silly girl," the man said, unable to help but let out a low cough to cover up his awkwardness.

Su Luo inadvertently caught sight of his slightly reddened ears and couldn't help but giggle softly behind her hand.

"Oh, Daddy's shy~"
