The man stood tall and imposing at the entrance, a coat draped over his arm. He wore only a crisp white shirt, every button meticulously fastened, exuding an aura of cool, restrained elegance.

The moment he saw the little girl, the stern lines of Huo Tingyan's face softened instantly.

"Daddy!" Su Luo's eyes sparkled, her small face brimming with joy as she flew into his arms like a jubilant little bird.

"Daddy, Luoluo missed you so much! Did you miss Luoluo today?" The little girl cooed sweetly, nuzzling against him like a kitten seeking affection.

Huo Tingyan stiffly wrapped an arm around her. Breathing in the sweet, milky scent of the little bun, the man felt the emptiness inside him instantly fill. His gaze softened until it seemed it could melt into tenderness.

"Daddy, did you miss me? Did you, did you?" she persisted, lifting her head from his chest. Her bright eyes looked up at him, shining with anticipation.

"Hmm." Huo Tingyan paused, a hint of awkwardness crossing his features. He murmured softly, "I did."

How could he not? Her adorable little face had occupied his thoughts all day, disturbing his focus at work. He'd rushed home the moment he finished, eager to see her as soon as possible.
