Chapter 32: Continuation of Revenge

Shoot returned to the classroom just before the afternoon classes began. As the bell rang and the teacher entered, Gohara also entered, his face pale and trembling, causing the classmates to look at him questioningly.

(Gohara-kun is terrified… What happened? And Shoot-kun… seems fine, but what happened during lunchtime?)

Kumi, who’d been busy with committee work, didn’t know what happened. She’d gone to the rooftop during lunch but had given up and returned when she found the door blocked.

“Hm? Nakazato is absent. Is he feeling unwell and at the infirmary?”

Seeing Nakazato's empty seat, the teacher marked him as absent. Gohara was visibly sweating; Shoot smiled faintly.

(…What happened during lunchtime…?)

Kumi grew even more curious.

The afternoon classes ended, and homeroom began. Then, a shocking event unfolded in 2-A.

“Eh…? Nakazato-kun?”

As Aono was about to make announcements, Nakazato, escorted by Gohara, entered the classroom. Everyone was shocked by Nakazato’s appearance; his face was unharmed, but his body was heavily bandaged, clearly indicating serious injuries.

Tanimoto and Ohigashi, from different classes but known to be part of Nakazato's group, also entered the classroom in the same condition.

“Hey, why is Nakazato covered in bandages?” “I don’t know.” “Why are Tanimoto and Ohigashi here?” “Everyone except Gohara is bandaged!” “Eh? Did they fight?” “What’s going on!?”

The classmates expressed their confusion. Nakazato, Tanimoto, and Ohigashi stood silently and fearfully at the back of the room.

“N-Nakazato-kun! What happened!? And why are Tanimoto and Ohigashi here? Homeroom hasn’t ended—”

THUD

Before Aono could question them, Shoot stood, turning towards Gohara.

“You brought them all, as instructed. If you hadn’t, I would have cut off one of your limbs.”

“…! H-hi…!”

Gohara trembled at Shoot’s words, shocking the class.

“Sh-Shoot-kun? What did you do to Nakazato—”

As Kumi was about to ask, Aono angrily interjected.

“Mitsuki! You know something about Nakazato’s injuries! What did you do!?”

Aono assumed Shoot was responsible and planned to report him to the principal for disciplinary action. As always, he'd find a way to make Shoot the scapegoat. He also resented Shoot’s earlier defiance.

Anticipating Shoot's usual defense—that Nakazato had attacked him—Aono was already planning his rebuttal. But Shoot cut him off.

“Shut up, you pathetic teacher.”

“““““~~~! !?”””””

With a single glare and statement, Shoot used “Intimidation,” silencing everyone. The class was stunned and paralyzed by his sudden change.

“…! Sh-Shoot-kun… !?”

Kumi, also affected, stared at Shoot, a mix of confusion and fear in her eyes, but he ignored her.

“This homeroom is now under my control. The topic is… my revenge for the bullying I’ve endured.”

Hearing the word "revenge," Nakazato and his gang trembled.

“Wh-what’s going on!? Is this all Mitsuki? It’s creepy; just stop this!”

Amidst the confusion, Itakura, her annoyance overriding her anxiety, shouted at Shoot. She still saw him as inferior and continued to assert her dominance. She believed that she could stop him with a simple rebuke, convinced of her position as a central figure in the school.

Ignoring Itakura, Shoot used earth magic to create a wall of earth, sealing the classroom. The unexpected sight shocked everyone. Even Itakura was speechless.

(What’s going on!? Did I see earth erupt from Shoot-kun’s hands…?)

Kumi and the others doubted their eyes. They realized that they were witnessing something extraordinary.

“Good. No one is leaving. Everyone stays. Collective responsibility.”

Returning to his seat, Shoot was addressed by Kumi.

“Shoot-kun, so many things are happening. First, I need to ask: why did you seal the classroom and trap everyone? What are you planning to do?”

Shoot looked at the sweating, anxious Kumi and smirked, his mouth curved into a malicious crescent moon, like he was plotting something terrible.

“The continuation of my revenge.”

He said this with unrestrained glee.

“R-revenge…?”

“That’s right. The class president, the other classmates, and that pathetic teacher—you all know I’ve been bullied by Nakazato and his gang. They beat me up in places where no one could see us—empty classrooms, off-campus, and the rooftop. They avoided detection, not targeting my face but my stomach, back, and legs. They're clever and ruthless.”

Pointing at Nakazato, Shoot recounted the bullying.

“So, you were bullied… by Nakazato and his gang…”

“Yes. I reported it to the teacher and school counselor, but no one took it seriously. Why?

Those adults are self-serving and prioritize avoiding responsibility! This school is trying to cover up everything!”

Shoot’s anger flared; Kumi covered her mouth, shocked that things were this bad. Aono was uncomfortable, thinking about how to refute Shoot and calm the students.

“I realized that I couldn’t rely on the school. Waiting for punishment wouldn’t bring me justice. I have to take revenge myself. I’ve suffered, so it’s my right.

So, I started my revenge on Nakazato and his gang during lunchtime!”

Kumi and the other classmates looked at Nakazato, Tanimoto, and Ohigashi, all bandaged and visibly hurt. They were shocked to realize that Shoot had done this.

“I heard about this, Mitsuki! You admitted to assaulting Nakazato! Along with your attitude towards your teacher, I will report this to the principal—”

Aono intended to suspend or expel Shoot. Shoot glared at him.

“Shut up, you pathetic adult.”

WHOOSH!! “Guh…!”

Shoot launched a gust of wind at Aono, pinning him against the blackboard. Terrorized, Aono struggled against the invisible force.

The wind scattered papers and objects; desks and chairs were overturned; books and stationery lay scattered on the floor.

“The teacher just flew!?” “But Mitsuki is far away!?” “What? Superpowers!?”

The classroom was in chaos again.

“You only think of yourself, you pathetic excuse for a teacher! You protect the son of a powerful chairman to protect your position. You try to solve things by eliminating me…”

With murderous intent, Shoot hissed—

“I’ll kill you.”

“Intimidation” activated, stronger than before, silencing everyone.

(———)

Kumi collapsed, sweating and close to tears, as she stared at Shoot, realizing the boy she knew was gone.

Shoot took a deep breath, releasing “Intimidation.” Most of the students were on the ground.

Nakazato, Tanimoto, and Ohigashi were slumped on the floor, their faces wet with tears. The other boys in Nakazato's social group were also cowering.

Itakura was also on the floor. Her face, usually refined, was contorted with fear. Her earlier bravado was completely gone.

Aono, pale and trembling, clung to the blackboard.

2-A was under Shoot’s complete control.

“Whew… where was I?”

Shoot looked down on his classmates and teacher with disdain.

“Oh well. Let’s continue my revenge.”
