Summary of the previous chapter

Coai and her companions, along with Grand Duke Federico of Angel, who wished for peace between humans and elves, repelled an attack by those guided by the "Voice of God"—humans and their accomplices who schemed to continue the conflict.

Having deepened their relationship by sharing information about the plot and future predictions, Coai's group decided to return to their own territory to treat the injured Grand Duke.

A single carriage passes through a grassy plain that flourishes before a forest.

Faintly carrying the scent of blood, it was likely not a pleasant smell for the forest dwellers. But for those experiencing the scent up close, it might hold a different meaning.

"We're about to enter the forest. Hope we can find a spring nearby."

The large man, Akudo, called out to Coai and the others behind him as he spurred his horse on.

"It would be good if you find one soon. We're counting on you, Akudo."

Coai watched the old man Sodi reply out of the corner of her eye, her gaze absently fixed on the sky.

The sound of the carriage, the clouds drifting across the sky... even these mundane things would surely feel so vivid if she were here...
