I don't feel a force pulling me into the water, but... there's no reason to be playing around here either.

For now, Coai, careful not to lose her balance... while still gripping the branch with one hand, tried to lift her right leg with force.
Whatever was tangled around her leg didn't offer much resistance. The weight of her waterlogged boot was the main drag, telling her that her foot had broken the surface without issue.
Keeping her leg raised, she illuminated it with magic and peered closely... Something that looked like a thin tree branch or the stem of a water plant was wrapped around her right leg.
Even now that it was pulled out of the water, it was still tangled, but... she didn't feel any particular force trying to cling to her, nor did it appear to be moving.

In the water, it had felt like it was trying to wrap around her... Was it just her imagination?

In any case, she didn't have time to be distracted by this object.
Coai tried to peel off the entanglement from her right leg with her free hand.
It felt like a vine, similar to a stem but a little hard. Perhaps because of its hardness, it wouldn't come off easily unless she pinched it firmly with her fingers.
It seemed difficult to remove this with just the movement of her leg. It didn't seem like it would cause any major harm if she got caught by it, but... just the hassle of pulling it off would be enough to hinder progress, cause frustration, and tire out an explorer.
