Feeling the hostile magical energy, like a raging storm, nearby, Coai's heart rapidly grew cold.
Coai stood alone in the darkness of the warehouse.
From outside the warehouse, likely transmitted from somewhere within the castle town... she sensed a dark, seeping, sharp, hollow, and chilling magical energy.
Now that it's come to this, perhaps it was for the best that I sent her home.
Although, it's not certain that the owner of this magic is targeting me.
For the time being, Coai decided to leave the warehouse to investigate the situation...
Just then, she heard a man's angry shout.
"I know you're in town! Come on out, Demon Lord Coai!!"
An unpleasant voice...
Coai felt an instinctive sense of rejection towards that voice.
It sounded like the voice of the man she had fought before... the man called Hisashi. But this time, his voice carried an instinctive unpleasantness she hadn't felt before.
