The smile of the man who seemed to be a waiter, having heard the order, deepened and softened... or so Koai felt.

"Alright, I'll get that ready for you right away."
The man said this and left without taking a food order.
Koai, not noticing this oversight, decided to simply wait for the alcohol to be brought.

While waiting for the drink, voices could be heard from a nearby table.

"Say, have you heard... about that urgent request?"
"That one... you mean the subjugation request with unknown details? I hear it was a failure."
"Yeah, a failure... more than that, I heard that none of the guys who took the request have come back yet."
"What, not a single one? That's... well, I had a bad feeling about it so I decided not to take it. Seems like that was the right call."
"'The target is a secret,' 'follow orders'... maybe because of all the conditions, the reward was crazy high. But I went along with you and turned it down, and it looks like that saved me."
"Well, if I were hard up for cash, I probably would have joined too. Looks like we were both lucky."
"Haha... once again, a toast to our devil's luck."
"Hey, hey, are you lumping me in with the villains? Oh well, whatever. Cheers!"

Koai let the men's conversation wash over her, simply waiting for her drink...

"Sorry for the wait!"
Before long, the waiter returned.

"For now, I've brought two types that are especially popular with the customers."
The man placed three vessels in front of Koai.

"The vessel on your left is made with Corandel and Petsil, and the one on the right uses Morslin, or so I'm told. And the large one on the side is water."
Koai didn't quite understand what the man was explaining, but for the time being, she peered into the drink cups from above... The drink on the left seemed to have a slight green tint, while the one on the right was faintly vermilion.
