Leaving the castle, into the forest, off the woodland path, and along the river... carrying a pack on her back, she continued to walk where there was no road.
Aiming for a waterfall said to be far upriver, as if tracing the river's flow... she walked alone, weaving through the trees.
Inside a large pot, which held no meaning beyond training, she had placed a picture of Snow, several small items Snow had given her... and by storing these items of immense significance, the pot had become quite heavy.
Carrying it on her back, Coai continued to walk alone.
Coai carried her burden, calmly and silently walking upriver.
She left the castle in the morning, and until the sun rose high and then set... she walked on without even eating, let alone resting.
Occasionally, the sound of the wind rustling the trees and the calls of birds and beasts echoed along the forest river... but these, too, were not enough to make Coai stop or rest.
However, that might have been only natural.
For Coai, there was Snow's existence, the meaning of her own being for Snow's sake, and... her own existence for the sake of feeling Snow.
Compared to the value of fulfilling and maintaining those things... sounds with only a tenuous connection to her were surely nothing more than noise.
