Whether the sun shone directly ahead, or set slightly to the right, she headed southwest. Beneath the faint light of the crescent moon, she headed southwest. As the night eventually began to whiten into dawn, she headed southwest... slowly, letting the horse go where it pleased.
After several days of this, Coai spotted a structure in the distance, beyond a slightly damp plain, that looked to be the castle city of Doit.

With the clattering sound of the gently swaying cart behind her, Coai rode on the back of the horse, which continued on at a leisurely pace... and approached the city.

The road was free of dirt and fine sand; it seemed to be made mostly of stone and gravel.
Looking around, to the sides of the road... there were puddles here and there. In some places, not just moss but even water plants were growing, indicating that these were not temporary pools formed by a sudden snowmelt.

It was a landscape unlike any Coai had seen in the castle cities she had visited before.
