...Sometime, without realizing it, I must have fallen asleep.
I slept, and it seems I was dreaming.
Suddenly, I sensed with my eyes and ears that I was walking with Snow along a forest path that wove through a deep wood...
There shouldn't be a forest like this anywhere near the castle city of Palmyre where we are now. So this must be a dream.
However, the warmth coming from Snow, who walked beside me without a word, holding my left hand, was the usual... I could certainly feel it...
It felt very... pleasant.
And so, after having a lucid dream... Coai, who suddenly woke up just before dawn, noticed that her left hand was being held.
There were only Coai and Snow in the bedroom. Glancing at her left hand, it was obvious... the one holding it was her.
Although it felt natural, it was certain that she had reached out her hand that far.
And yet, she hadn't woken up; it was also certain that she was still asleep.
And this warmth, too... was real.
Warmed by the heat of that hand, Coai was now wide awake... but so as not to wake Snow, she spent the time doing nothing.
Eventually, morning came, and the sun shone through the window. But Coai decided to let her sleep until she woke up on her own, for as long as she pleased.
However, it wasn't just out of consideration for Snow... It was because she didn't want to disturb her defenseless sleeping face. Because she wanted to keep watching it.
Coai harbored... and was aware of... such a modest—and in a way, ulterior—motive.
