Snow squinted, dozing off, her flushed face bobbing up and down unsteadily.
It would be safe to assume she was almost completely drunk.
It didn't seem like she wanted any more to drink or eat if they stayed here at the tavern any longer.
If they stayed here any longer, there was likely no point other than finding her appearance endearing...
Koai decided it was about time to leave...
"You look sleepy. Shall we go back to the inn?"
Koai moved closer to Snow's side, bringing her shoulder near so Snow could grab her arm.
"Mmm... go back 'n sleep..."
With Koai's support, she somehow managed to stand up.
A weight pressed on Koai's left arm, making her even more keenly aware of Snow's presence.
However, it wasn't just her weight that announced her presence...
She felt a warmth in the arm that bore the weight, and also deep within her chest, far from it.
Today, right now, no... she always felt her warmth.
But right now, she reminded herself, it was more important to get Snow back to the inn safely.
Since the weight of Snow leaning on her arm wasn't that heavy, Koai figured she could stand on her own two feet to some extent... if they didn't rush, they should be able to walk back. With that, she took a firm hold of Snow's arm to keep her from falling, pulling her close.
After securing her hold on Snow, Koai handed the payment to the owner with her free right hand.
"Thanks again for today. See you."
In return, she received silver and copper coins as change from the owner and set off on the path to the inn.
