Chapter 21: The Little Tyrant of the Huo Family

The little boy looked about seven or eight years old. He wore baggy hip-hop pants, a baseball cap, and a neck laden with chains, radiating a strong hip-hop vibe.

Huo Tianlin saw the little girl standing beside his grandmother and bared his teeth at her menacingly, like a Husky whose territory had been invaded.

He didn't like this little girl!

Because as soon as she arrived, she stole his room. How could Young Master Huo swallow this insult? He decided to put her in her place and make sure this brat knew who the real little tyrant of this house was.

"Grandma..." The little girl shrank back behind Qin Shu like a frightened rabbit.

She could feel this older brother didn't like her.

"Baby, it's alright, don't be scared. Grandma's here," Qin Shu soothed her in a gentle voice, her expression soft enough to melt.

Huo Tianlin couldn't help but curl his lip, shooting her a disdainful glance. "What a scaredy-cat."

He hadn't even done anything yet, and she was already this frightened. How boring.

"You shut your mouth!" Once Qin Shu had comforted her precious granddaughter, she turned to face her grandson. All traces of her gentle smile vanished instantly, replaced by a fierce scowl, her expression changing faster than flipping a book.

"Huo Third, I'm warning you! Be nice to your little sister! If I catch you bullying Luoluo again, do you believe I'll break your dog legs?" Qin Shu rolled up her sleeves aggressively, looking like she wanted to give him a thrashing right then and there.

What a troublesome brat! How dare he talk like that! If he scares away my precious granddaughter, just see how I deal with this little punk!

"Hmph!" Facing Qin Shu's sinister glare, Huo Tianlin's arrogant bluster instantly deflated. He shrank back, his courage deserting him.

"She... she's not my sister!" Huo Tianlin muttered under his breath, thoroughly unconvinced.

"Hmm?" Qin Shu narrowed her eyes, her tone dangerously low. "Say that again."

Huo Tianlin shuddered involuntarily, swallowing nervously as his resolve began to waver.  In this household, he wasn't most afraid of his dad, nor his mom. He was most afraid of his grandma.

Because offending his parents meant, at worst, a round of tag-team spanking. But offending his grandma was a different story...

The whole family would take turns subjecting him to a session of "loving education," and even worse – he'd be grounded.

For Huo Erha (Huo the Husky), not being allowed out to run wild was a painful and cruel torture!

Remembering those dark, sunless days locked in the little dark room, Huo Tianlin couldn't suppress a shiver. He was about to tuck his tail and flee.

But as he turned, he saw that little girl staring straight at him with wide eyes.

Seeing the older boy look her way, Su Luo gave him a sweet smile, two adorable dimples instantly appearing on her cheeks.

It was the little girl's way of expressing friendliness. But to Huo Tianlin, it meant something entirely different.

Huo Tianlin: ヽ(艹皿艹)ノ What's up with this little runt? Is she challenging me? She definitely is!

Young Master Huo felt his authority was being challenged. A surge of hot blood rushed to his head, momentarily overwhelming his reason.

This wretched little girl dares to look down on me! Today, I'll make sure she learns her lesson!

Otherwise, if word gets out that a little girl dared to climb over my head, how will Young Master Huo ever maintain his reputation in the jianghu (underworld) again!

"I didn't say anything wrong! She's not my sister!" Defying Qin Shu's death glare, Huo Tianlin stubbornly thrust out his neck, determined to resist the dark forces to the end. "Third Uncle doesn't even have a wife! Where could he get such a big daughter? Grandma, wake up already! Stop deceiving yourself!"
