Chapter 39: "The Accusation in the Principal's Office"

(Huh…? It disappeared on its own? Maybe it disappears after a certain amount of time…?)

Seeing the large pile of earth he’d placed in front of the classroom door vanish, Shuto tilts his head in thought.

Ordinary soil, unmodified by the skill "Creation," disappears naturally after a certain time. Fire and water are the same; if nothing is done to maintain something generated, it will naturally disappear. Incidentally, the sandbags he used in his otherworldly house are treated with skills, so they won't disappear naturally.

As Shuto makes a mental note to be careful about this newfound knowledge, the sliding doors open, and several teachers rush in.

"Finally, we got in! What in the world…? What is this…?!"

The first to enter is the head of the grade. The physical education teacher and the guidance counselor follow, both equally shocked.

"Did…did that student do this…?"

The head of the grade points to Shuto and asks Akemi and the others. They nod hesitantly.

"N-Nakazato!? And Tanimoto and Daido are gone! And Mr. Aono! And so many other students are down… We need an ambulance!"

The classmates feel relieved that help has finally arrived as they watch the teachers attend to the fallen students. Shuto decides to stop his rampage.

"Wh-what's happened here…? There are even kids without eyes…"

All the teachers are shaken by the sight of the injured students. After quickly transferring everyone to the nurse's office, the head of the grade turns to Shuto, his eyes filled with anger.

"You're a student in 2-A, right? What's your name?"

"Mitsuki Shuto."

"Mitsuki…!? He wasn't like this before."

"Growth spurt."

"G-gr…In any case, Mitsuki, come to the staff room!"

"What are you going to do with me in the staff room? Useless teachers who turn a blind eye to bullying..."

"Wh-what kind of language is that towards a teacher—?"

"Oh…?"

"——!?"

The head of the grade shrinks and stutters under Shuto's glare. The others are similarly intimidated.

"Ugh, how childish. If you want to talk, bring the principal, the vice-principal, and all the 2nd-year teachers. I have a mountain of things I want to say."

Shuto states this with arrogance and agrees to go to the staff room. The head of the grade, though angered by Shuto's unexpectedly haughty attitude, somehow manages to calm him down and leads him out of the classroom.

"(Alright, next, I'll let loose on all these teachers…) You were lucky this time; I’ll let you off.

But don't forget? You're all equally guilty. I'll never forgive you…"

Just before leaving the classroom, Shuto smiles wickedly at Akemi and the others before leaving this message. Akemi watches him being taken away by the teachers with a complex expression.

"The Shuto-kun I first met…is gone…"

Akemi says this sadly, her eyes cast down.

Initially, the teachers intended to talk in the staff room, but upon hearing the commotion, the principal decided to join the discussion, so the location changed to the reception room in his office.

Present are the principal of the private junior high school, Haga Hazamu; the vice-principal; the head of the 2nd-grade teachers; the guidance counselor; and Shuto. Shuto sits opposite the teachers.

"…So, Mitsuki-kun, you inflicted these injuries on your classmates as revenge for bullying?"

"That's right."

Shuto confidently affirms Haga's question, his demeanor arrogant even in front of the principal. The vice-principal clenches his jaw.

"…You should know that our school is renowned as a prestigious private school, not just in Tokyo, but throughout the country. This school is a source of pride for me. I cannot tolerate an incident that damages that pride. Do you understand?"

"Pride…Dust. A school like this is full of dust, just like this garbage."

Shuto picks up some dust from his chair and blows it away. The vice-principal, furious at his disrespectful attitude, shouts.

"What kind of attitude is that towards the principal!? Don't you understand why you're here, talking to us!?"

"… (Glare)"

"——!?"

The vice-principal shrinks and stutters under Shuto's glare. Even the principal is inwardly disturbed by the pressure.

"It doesn’t seem like you’re trying to understand my side of the story. Principal, before this incident, I want to address the severe bullying I endured from Nakazato and the others."

Shuto slams his fist on the table, emphasizing the issue he wants to discuss first.

"Y-yes, the bullying you described. However, this meeting is primarily about the assault you committed! And that glare you just gave me is another matter—"

BAM!!! "“““—!?"”””

Shuto’s fist slamming the table interrupts the vice-principal. The impact causes the table to tremble violently, making the teachers tense up.

"Such…a thing…? Severe bullying of a student is such a small matter?"

A fist-sized hole is smashed through the table where Shuto’s fist landed. Seeing this, the teachers gape in shock.

"Y-you…!?"

"Principal, let's finally address the bullying I suffered from Nakazato and the others. Let's discuss that first!"

Shuto taps the damaged table, insisting on his point. Haga and the others recognize the previously unknown student as a formidable threat and become tense.

"V-very well…Tell us about the bullying, Mitsuki-kun."

"Okay. Let's see…"

Shuto then details Nakazato's bullying to Haga and the others. He explains the unjust violence he suffered, the bullying from a classmate he tried to help, and how Itakura, with a false confession, framed him as a stalker, spreading malicious rumors.

"They bullied me and falsely accused me simply because they found it amusing. They committed the lowest acts imaginable. They disrupted my peace and constantly defamed me.

And, I reported their bullying to my homeroom teacher, Aono, but he protected Nakazato! The classmates ignored it, some even enjoyed it! I was bullied by the entire class!"
