Chapter 13: Training

For the rest of the day, I practiced Fire Magic.

Controlling fire was harder than I imagined, and I couldn’t quite get it right.

But, it was fun.

This is how everyone learned magic.

I was truly happy to finally understand something I had never understood before.

However, while learning Fire Magic from Aim, I realized I had some problems.

I could only make fire originate from my left hand.

Aim said it was because of the Sigil in my left hand.

Normally, magicians can use magic from any part of their body. But, in my case, because of the Sigil in my left hand, I’m greatly influenced by it, and I can only use Fire Magic from my left hand.

However, he also said it was something that could be overcome with training.

Unlike the time when I couldn’t use magic, I’m now able to find solutions and identify problems on my own. Magic is so much fun when you can do it.

“Well, human. It’s time to say goodbye.”

That evening, Aim said his goodbyes.

I thought about the possibility that he might be reluctant to leave, like Orobas, but Aim said that Orobas was the only demon who hated being dismissed.

“Even if Aim leaves, the Sigil won’t disappear, right?”

“Yes, you can still use it. But, you should learn Spirit Possession for the future.”

“I see, thank you so much, Aim.”

I thanked him sincerely.

Today was the day that my life was finally rewarded.

So, I was truly grateful.

Then, I chanted the Dismissal Spell.

“The next time I’m summoned, you’ll have to prepare a building that’s worth burning.”

“Y-yes, I’ll take care of it…”

I replied to his parting words.

“Right, I still haven’t properly thanked Orobas.”

Orobas had put himself in danger to stop Aim when he went wild.

I realized I hadn’t thanked him yet.

“Orobas, thank you so much.”

“M-Master is thanking me!! Wh-what an honor. It’s truly my good fortune to have you as my Master!”

“Haha…”

I couldn’t help but chuckle at Orobas’ usual antics.
