The "Festival (Kumbh Mela)"... an extraordinary protection, one level stronger than the serene defense. It seemed this person could see the ripple that brought it forth. To Coai, this was a little pleasing.
"For now, I'll return this. You should pick it up."
Coai lightly bit her fingertip, manifesting a rope of blood from the open wound. She then entangled it around the spear trapped in the mid-air vortex, pulling it free and letting it fall to the ground.
The man called Hisashi slowly closed the distance, his eyes fixed on Coai.
"There's no need to be so wary. Think of it as a reward."
She didn't know how the man would interpret it, but Coai had no ulterior motives.
"Hah..."
After slowly closing the distance to the spear, he picked it up and took his stance again, letting out a breath. Sweat dripped from his forehead, telling of the man's tension.
