Mixed with the smell of burning wood, a scent similar to that of roasting meat drifted through the air.

"Oh, I forgot. Do you have any salt?"
"Salt..."
Seasoning, huh.

"I think there was some in the luggage. I'll go get it."
I recall hearing that the seasonings were in a small pot.

"While you're at it, I'd like a plate if you have one."

A voice called out from behind Coatl as she stood up and started walking. Coatl stopped and gave a silent nod.

Coatl returned to Snow, carrying the tableware that had been gathered in a corner of the cart and a basket containing the small pots.
She seemed to be checking on the fish skewered on the stick.

"I think it's done. Lend me a plate, I'll put it on."
Doing as she was told, she handed over the plate, and it was skillfully returned with the fish on it.
The surface of the fish had completely lost its moisture and was charred black in places.

"Now, a little sprinkle of salt... and it's ready!"
Holding her own plate with a fish on it, just like Coatl's, she returned to her seat.
Coatl glanced at the bonfire. There were still more fish skewers there.

"Aren't you going to sit? I moved the fish to cook over low heat, so they'll be fine."
Coatl didn't quite understand her intention, but decided to do as she said and headed for her seat.

"Mmm, delicious! It's not fishy, and the oil content is just right."
She smiled, alternating between bringing the fish and the sake to her lips.
